Many of you who read this blog have been so generous to me as I raise money for my graduate education, and I am so grateful.  In light of that, I now ask for your generosity for a fellow Johnnie, Ruth Johnston (Annapolis class of 1985).  Ruth and I share not only an alma mater, but also the hardship of a physical disability.  However, Ruth has not been able to find a diagnosis, which makes it much more difficult for her to get treatment.  You can read her whole story on her website here.  As the website says, Ruth is now looking into Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 4 as a possible diagnosis, and she has asked me to appeal to all of you about this question.  She is having trouble finding a specialist physician to diagnose SMA type 4, so if you know of anyone who can help with this, please contact me below and I will pass the information on to Ruth.  In the meantime, I ask you to visit her website, share her fundraiser, and especially to donate to support her care.  Thank you so much!
